Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on the 29th of December, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his team members.
Healing from Light Wounds
Joshua had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, representatives had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement online that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.
“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” Omotosho said.
Honoring the Deceased
The victims of the crash were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”
His release from the hospital comes as the boxing community shared condolences for the star in the following the devastating accident.
