Barcelona Ready for First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months after they moved out so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized a public practice at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht in December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
